ARTIST PROFILE

My Fused Glass Courses are run from my Studio in the beautiful Forest of Dean.I really enjoy sharing my knowledge of working with glass and encouraging students to develop their creative ideas while providing lots of examples to inspire the imagination.

I have always loved the quality of glass and how light brings it to life.I have been working with glass for nine years and I find myself drawn back to my love of the Isles of Scilly where the sunlight reflects off the beautiful pure seawater and agapanthus grow along sandy paths. The calm and tranquility of Scilly and wonderful sea colours are captured in my work.

With a new beautiful granddaughter on the Island of St.Agnes we spend more and more of our time both in Holy Vale on St. Mary s and on St.Agnes.

I use mainly transparent glass, but also love the calm hues of opaque glass. I like to explore with texture, bubbles, copper wire, and glass engraving in my work. Each piece is individual and may be returned to the kiln many times to achieve the desired effect.
